A sample of my ideas...
Another day of gore. Another day of slaughter. Another day of watching comrades die. In short, another normal day.
Today has been especially bloody. The retrieval of Duke Merovion`s son has been fraught with dangers. He can still recall Azesh`s scream as a battle-ax cleaved his chest. Roriz`s gasp as he was hit by a volley of arrows. Delilah`s shriek of pain as someone ran through her with a sword.
"Stop dreaming boy. We`re still far from safety!" He turned to see the owner of the voice. "Hodel! Bariza! Scout on ahead, secure our route! Reeves, keep watch over His Grace!" That was Master Edemiel, the person in charge and leader of the 'Fels' an elite squad consisting entirely of werecats who were selected and trained from infancy. Master Edemiel is the eldest of the surviving 'Fels' and as such, commands the respect due to someone who has preserved the squad countless times with his wisdom.
"How long before we reach my father`s Manor? I am decidedly famished and I demand some food be brought to me!" this, from His Grace Edward Merovion, the 13 year old son of Duke Merovion. Reeves briefly wondered if this child was worth the death of 3 comrades. He dismissed that thought quickly and turned his attention to the child. "Your Grace, we`re still very deep in enemy territory. However, we`ll be making camp in a few hours time. I hope Your Grace can be patient." The boy pondered that and kept quiet, though out of understanding or fear is well beyond Reeves.
